Salary: $165,000-$185,000

Location: Arlington, TX

Duties / Responsibilities

• Strategic Sourcing - identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers to meet the organization's needs for goods, services, and equipment.
• Supplier Relationship Management - Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and monitoring supplier performance.
• Contract Management – Overseeing the creation, negotiation, and management of contracts, ensuring they are legally sound and aligned with organizational goals.
• Cost optimization - Analyzing procurement data and market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to reduce expenses.
• Compliance – Ensuring that all procurement activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
• Risk Management – Identifying and assessing potential risks in the procurement process and developing strategies to mitigate them.
• Stakeholder collaboration – Working closely with other departments to understand their procurement needs and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
• Performance monitoring - Monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to procurement activities, such as cost savings, supplier performance, and contract compliance.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, logistics or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
• At least 15 years of experience in supply chain activities (preferably in aerospace).
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff in a fast-paced environment. Minimum of 8 years of proven successful management experience. Ideally, experience managing through others (managing managers of people).
• Knowledge of Supply Chain Management – Applied excellence of supply chain principles and best practices. Knowledge of global markets preferred.
• Strategic Thinking – Ability to develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business goals.
• Negotiation and Contract Skills – Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and conditions with suppliers.
• Working knowledge of quality systems and specifically, AS9100 and A9120. [Strongly Preferred].
