Description
SHINE Technologies is seeking a Facilities Manager who will oversee the operational integrity and environmental compliance to ensure safe and efficient Lu-177 production, including environmental monitoring and hot cell maintenance. The Facilities Manager also drives best business practices to manage resources, services and processes to meet the facility and manufacturing needs in Janesville, Wisconsin. As the primary contact for building-related emergencies, such as broken pipes, power outages, heating or air conditioning concerns, street and parking lot closures, and building access interruptions, etc.
This position may be on-call and available for both planned and unplanned emergency issues 24 hours per day.
The base salary range for this position is $85,000 - $100,000 per year plus a comprehensive compensation package. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Facilities Manager include but are not limited to:

Duties and Responsibilities of the Facilities Manager include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for ensuring the Rock County facilities, equipment, and operations strictly adhere to relevant regulations, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and other health and safety standards.
- Lead the Environmental Monitoring (EM) program, including measuring, collecting and analyzing environmental data on a quarterly basis and provide valuable insights and recommendations to management, driving continuous improvement and operational optimization.
- Ensures all systems operate within qualified and safe ranges to maintain the integrity of the facility. Oversees preventative maintenance of hot cells which includes glove installations and repairs, HEPA filter replacements, and hot cell penetration maintenance.
- Monitors critical facility parameters such as HVAC systems, humidity levels, and differential pressures, etc.
- Act as the primary point of contact for vendor relationships, schedules annual maintenance and coordinates emergency support as needed.
- Coordinate all installations and refurbishments related to HVAC, electrical, telecommunications, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Manage general building maintenance and repairs, either by performing the work, coordinating internal resources or working with external vendors and contractors.
- Assigns building authorization access and issue to employees, respectively.
- Maintain security records and keys to ensure adequate physical security.
- Comply with police, fire, and other service policies and procedures regarding building security and ensure access is upheld.
- Collaborate with the EHS team to maintain connection to emergency warning systems, such as weather radio, Rock County Emergency Alerts, and UWPD emergency alerts to ensure timely relay of appropriate alerts to building occupants.
- Provide staff supervision as required to ensure effective facility operations.
- Minimum 7 years of facilities management or similar experience.
- BS/BA in Facilities Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- Well-versed in technical and engineering operations and facilities management.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, environmental systems, and hot cell maintenance.
- Strong communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Experience in health, safety and environmental management preferred.
- Knowledge of health and safety codes applicable to buildings and grounds.
- Basic understanding of blueprints, designs and drawings, schematics, etc.
- Ability to operate hand tools, testing instruments and small power tools common to building maintenance and repair.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills; ability to set priorities and function in a fast-paced office environment; and meet set deadlines.
- Ability to participate in teams and facilitate teamwork.
- Knowledge of record keeping practices, filing, and archival procedures.
- Vendor management experience.
- Requires frequent leaning, bending, stooping, crouching, crawling, grasping, and reaching above the shoulders and below the knees.
- Moderate physical activity including lift, carry, push or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- Prolonged standing and/or walking in varying work environments with potential exposure to chemicals and temperature extremes for more than four (4) hours per day.
- Fine motor coordination with ability to handle tools, performing inspections and maintaining equipment.
- Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
- Work may take place in heights or small, confined spaces requiring careful maneuverability and safe practices.
- Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
