Job Skills / Requirements

A Michigan Concealed Pistol License is required to be considered for this role.

SCOPE: Operations Managers provide leadership and administrative support to both armed and unarmed physical security teams and manage various aspects of our company's contracts within their assigned region. A Concealed Pistols License is required. Operations Managers are also responsible for supporting company-wide business development initiatives.

Compensation

  • Rate of Pay: $47,000/year paid bi-weekly.

Job Description/Responsibilities

Operations & Client Relations

  • Lead Supervisors and Officers to ensure compliance with policies, quality service, and positive client and employee relationships.
  • Oversee scheduling, site visits, inspections, and on-call coverage to maintain operational continuity.
  • Foster direct client relationships and contribute to regional business growth.

People Management

  • Direct hiring, training, performance evaluations, and discipline in coordination with Human Resources.
  • Ensure employees are properly equipped, trained, and supported.

Administration & Compliance

  • Manage payroll, billing, overtime, and incident reporting with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain training programs, equipment, and uniform inventories.
  • Oversee temporary assignments with clear guidelines and communication.

Leadership

  • Conduct supervisor meetings and training sessions.
  • Participate in staff meetings, report on account performance, and execute additional duties as assigned.
  • Maintain at least 16 billable hours weekly.
  • Additional duties as assigned within scope of the position.

Qualifications

  • Must be of good moral character, with no felony convictions or misdemeanor convictions for criminal or sexual conduct or related offenses, theft, assault, or crimes of moral turpitude, is required.
  • Possessing a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice or Business Administrations from an accredited college or University is strongly preferred. Further, a concentration in Security Management is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ prior experience as a security manager or above in government or corporate service is highly desirable.
  • Must have a Michigan Concealed Pistols License (CPL).
  • Must have impeccable grooming.
  • Must possess above average customer service skills.
  • Must present a friendly, positive, professional image to clients, employees, supervisors, managers, and the general public.
  • Must possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, ability to solve problems and de-escalate situations in a non-confrontational manner. These include the ability to read and write the English language and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating procedures, maintenance instructions and reports.
  • Must possess the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division at a minimum.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
