Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Power Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to support the development, implementation, and maintenance of the DIVE application used across the Deployment and Sustainment Division (DSD) projects. This role is ideal for an experienced analyst who thrives at the intersection of data visualization, performance reporting, and cross-functional collaboration. The Analyst will be responsible for transforming complex data sets into clear and actionable insights, dashboards, and executive-level reports that drive informed decision-making.

Location: Arlington, VA. This position will be on-site four days a week with one day remote.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and enhance the DIVE application built on Power BI, ensuring optimal performance and usability.
  • Develop compelling data visualizations and dashboards incorporating inputs from diverse data sources including Excel, Microsoft Access, and Microsoft Project.
  • Gather and refine reporting requirements from a variety of stakeholders across DSD projects.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into intuitive and actionable Power BI solutions.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance across all reporting products.
  • Conduct ongoing support and troubleshooting for Power BI reports and underlying data issues.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including project managers, data analysts, and technical leads.
  • Support version control and documentation of all Power BI report configurations and changes.
  • Adhere to best practices in data visualization and performance metric reporting.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business, Engineering, Public Administration, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 7 years of program or project management experience in the federal sector, with strong understanding of deployment operations, logistics, and modernization initiatives.
  • Microsoft Power BI Certification required
  • 3–5 years of professional experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or reporting roles.
  • Proficiency with Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and DAX.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, relationships, and query optimization.
  • Familiarity with integrating and transforming data from multiple sources such as Excel, Access, and Microsoft Project.
  • Deep understanding of data visualization best practices and performance metrics.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within teams.
  • Adept at gathering, interpreting, and implementing feedback from technical and non-technical stakeholders.
