Position Title: Senior Operations Engineer

Location: Midland, Texas/ Wink, Texas

Reports To: VP Operations

Position Summary

The Senior Operations Engineer is responsible for providing strategic and operational support in executing on achieving various project successes, driving revenue generation, reducing operational cost, and ensuring safe and optimized operations in the following three operational business areas:

  1. Chemical program
  2. Solids Control program
  3. Source Water and Re-use operations

Level and salary commensurate with experience. This position is based in Midland or Wink, Texas reporting to the VP Operations.



Essential Job Duties

  • Leads chemical program efforts in collaboration with other departments and field staff
    • Manage chemical vendors on a weekly and monthly basis and coordinate with operations team to maximum revenue while reducing operational cost.
    • Monitors the effectiveness of chemical
    • Provides data analysis for well integrity; trending well-activity pressure for well in, acid job by coordinating with engineering and ops teams.
    • Provides analysis for pad management for optimization of skim oil recovery by pulling historical data for recommendations and future decision making.
    • Supports forecast and budgeting efforts for current and future
    • Tracks retention time on facilities for maximizing skim
    • Collaborates with Procurement for purchase order requests for both future and ongoing
    • Develop project cost estimates and assist in developing Authority For Expenditure (AFE)
    • Adheres to regulatory and safety guidelines, as well as Company policies and
  • Leads solids control program efforts in collaboration with field staff
    • Manages chemical vendors on a weekly and monthly basis to monitor solids accumulation in tanks
    • Provides analysis and recommendations on prioritizing facility tank

  • Manages team to provide on-site surveillance and reporting in addition to ensure safe and reliable operations of the project scope.
  • Coordinates with operations on project scheduling and optimizing resources for successful project execution.

    • Leads business development efforts with new or existing customers to generate additional revenue generating projects.
    • Prepares technical proposals and executes on approved

    • Manages team of operators for safe and efficient operation of source and re-use
    • Coordinates with Land department on right-of-way (ROW) for potential new
    • Develops and executes on project and testing
    • Collaborates with Procurement for purchase order requests for both future and ongoing
    • Develop project cost estimates and assist in developing Authority For Expenditure (AFE).
    • Generates and submits University Lands (UL) monthly report after approval by VP
    • With understanding of basic hydraulics, travels to location to guide work and trouble- shooting for number of pumps needed for water transfer.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering - Mechanical, Civil, Petroleum, or
  • Minimum of 5 years of oil and gas, water management, or midstream industry
  • Adaptable in a fast-paced work environment that will require frequent site
  • Strong budget management
  • Ability to work with others on a team to accomplish established
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, maintain detailed and accurate records, and prepare clear and concise written reports.
  • Ability to apply engineering principles and techniques to the solution of equipment, maintenance processes and procedures, and infrastructure.
  • Vendor management
  • Knowledgeable and understands basic hydraulics to guide location work and trouble-

shooting.

  • Able to travel to field work sites frequently and as

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Permian /Delaware
  • Familiarity with Texas and New Mexico oil and gas regulations and both state and federal
  • Experience with business development in the source water and re-use business
