Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Safety Compliance Manager to join our team in **Norman, Oklahoma (we are open to candidates located in Wichita, KS as well)**. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring our products meet all safety standards and regulatory requirements, minimizing risks, and maintaining our commitment to quality and consumer safety.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain product safety compliance programs across all product lines
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and safety evaluations for new and existing products
  • Stay up-to-date with evolving safety regulations and standards, ensuring our products remain compliant
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address safety concerns and implement corrective actions
  • Manage product testing processes and analyze test results to ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Develop and maintain documentation for safety compliance, including test reports and certifications
  • Train staff on product safety requirements and best practices
  • Represent the company in industry forums and regulatory meetings related to product safety
  • Conduct periodic audits of manufacturing facilities and suppliers to ensure adherence to safety standards
  • Investigate product safety incidents and implement preventive measures

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field
  • Professional certifications in product safety (e.g., CPSC, OSHA)
  • 5+ years of experience in product safety or compliance management
  • In-depth knowledge of industry-specific safety standards and regulations
  • Proficiency in safety regulations and standards applicable to our product lines
  • Strong knowledge of product testing methodologies and quality control processes
  • Experience with compliance management software and data analysis tools
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proven project management skills
  • Experience in risk assessment and mitigation strategies
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Willingness to travel to manufacturing sites and supplier locations as needed
