Position Overview
- Develop project schedules and integrated master schedules, which will be maintained throughout the project life cycle while tracking changes.
- Develop and examine budget estimates for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with procedures and regulations.
- Apply project management practices, including Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS), for development of schedules.
- Examine requests for budget revisions, recommend approval or denial and draft correspondence.
- Produce resource-loaded schedules, associated progress reporting and project analysis.
- Provide technical assistance in the preparation of budgets.
- Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within and between departments of an establishment according to production or other operations schedules.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in project scheduling and control.
- Knowledge of or experience with project controls practices and principles, including work breakdown structure development, duration management, schedule logic and dependencies, critical path analysis, change control, cost engineering, estimating, Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS), status reporting, and what-if analysis.
- Ability to resolve complex issues, strong organizational skills, excellent oral and written communications skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Ability to effectively facilitate meetings.
- Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6, cost planning, and financial management software.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision and effectively manage multiple/changing priorities.
