ESG Applications Engineering Intern Utilization Plan
Key Objectives
Key Objectives
- Develop common drawing reference Libraries for Electrical, Installation, and Assembly
- AIC and CCIS historic engineering teams have had different Drawing and storage systems before the One OTC integration for vendor part files while executing projects.
- Develop Standard Programs Library
- Establish a library of standardized routines and Blocks per platform

- Establish a library of standardized HMI screens and graphics per platform

- Collaborate as part of the Applications Engineering Team to provide software/ installation solutions based on various Platforms
- Assist in developing SOPs for the Applications Engineering process by placing them in a PDM vault (or other common network location in the G:/ ESG Drive)l
- ESG currently lacks SOPs for Application processes, which must be developed so the team operates as one and any new hires know proper procedures from the beginning.
- Contractor management
- Safety management for the Install team
- Materials management for the installation team
- Installation trailer
- Materials left over from an installation
- Collaborate in the application and design engineering (where required) of Engineered Systems Group projects, check drawings, create/debug programs, set up, and assist in project runoffs (FATs) and teardowns for shipment and installation.
- Applications Engineering personnel will have a roadmap to assist all ESG teams with crucial information while creating standards for training and growth, as ESG continues to provide world-class solutions and expand the
- The ESG Applications Engineering team will develop procedures to work Forms unity and consistency across all personnel when designing, updating, and saving project information.

- Training/Development:
- Develop a strong team working ethic as an integral part of a cross-functional team, e., electrical, mechanical, and application engineers, to learn what it takes to provide “World Class” Software, Application, and Installation solutions.
- Work with Multiple Machine Control Software platforms utilized in the automation industry, i.e., Rockwell Studio 5000, Rockwell Factory Talk View SE/ME, Siemens TIA Portal, Fanuc Paint-Pro,
- Learn to maintain the VMware solutions we use to support all of the programmers to ensure they have the right software at the right time, anywhere they go.
- Learn how the Applications Engineering portion of a project progresses through the project from start-up to project close.
