Job Description
- Lead the organizational change management function by leading the development and execution of comprehensive change management strategies, frameworks and roadmaps; establishing and maintaining a centralized organizational change management service to ensure sustainable approach and adoption rates; defining and measuring Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) to ensure alignment with project goals and enterprise strategy. Developing and measuring objectives and key results (OKRs) that align with Avista’s strategic objectives.
- Aligns initiatives requiring change management with company strategy, business opportunity, and regulatory requirements. Service as a key leader in enterprise-wide transformation initiatives and large-scale projects, including Enterprise Resource Planning implementation.
- Partners with senior leadership to identify and prioritize transformational opportunities and organizational change management needs. Engages with key stakeholders to understand pain points, develop consistent and timely messaging and timelines and drive adoption and accountability for change initiatives.
- Champions a culture of transformational change and high adoption rates using effective methodologies, such as Prosci’s ADKAR model. Identifies needs and facilitates development of change management communication, training, and outreach to drive awareness, knowledge, adoption, and sustainment of the change initiative.
- Manages personnel including hiring, performance management, coaching, employee engagement, continuous education, training and development.
- Develops and implements work plans, standard operating procedures, program improvements, and best practices; responsible for instituting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Ensures activities, services and/or products are compliant with applicable regulations, rules, policies and procedures.
- Fosters a positive and supportive work environment; promotes inclusion and belonging in the workplace; and contributes to an environment of mutual respect.
- Bachelor’s degree from a regionally or nationally accredited college or university in a technical, communications, or related field required.
- Minimum seven (7)+ years of progressively increasing responsibility in areas such as organizational change / change management, process improvement, innovation, etc.
- Preference given to individuals with at least three (3) years of demonstrated ability to lead and motivate others to achieve objectives required.
- Certification in change management (i.e.: Prosci, AIM, Certified Change Management Professional) required or able to obtain within one year in role.
- Demonstrated experience in change management principles, methodologies and tools.
- Ability to effectively respond to changes in the business environment, understand implications and adjust priorities as needed on short notice
- Demonstrated effective use of project management, change management, and other disciplines to influence multiple workgroups.
- Broad understanding of business processes in finance, HR, customers, operations, and/or supply chain.
- Effective leadership skills, including the ability to attract, retain, and motivate competent and professional staff.
- Effective and adaptable verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated presentation skills and ability to create presentations for delivery to various audiences.
- Ability to influence others, negotiate to successful resolution and engage in effective problem solving.
