Job Description

As a Director - Project Management: we are looking for A seasoned leader with management and operational experience spanning across IT and construction of data centers to own national responsibility of project management and field service teams. Develops and directs the strategic planning of multiple projects/programs. Oversees coordination of personnel and resources in the PMO required to successfully manage projects/programs, and the Field Services team to complete service activities. Develops budgets, policies and procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Focus on driving results while providing consistent delivery of large-scale initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • In coordination with leadership oversee and manage a portfolio of individual projects/programs.
  • Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of a project/program management team.
  • Provides overall strategic governance for project/program management by establishing standards, processes, and tools used for effective project management.
  • Establishes methodologies to set productivity and quality targets and to assess results for all programs and projects.
  • Develops, defines and executes comprehensive project plans, schedules, and deliverables utilizing Project Management tools such as MS Teams with organized file structure.
  • Define Risk Registers for all projects/programs and responds proactively to escalated issues that may impede customer satisfaction, project delivery and coordinates solutions.
  • Accountable for program success; routinely reports program status to executive team and functional leadership.
  • Contribute to contractor management (discovery, introduction, vetting, performance rating).
  • Contribute to customer RFP responses.
  • Direct team oversight for the data center services project bid desk.
  • Direct team oversight for projects for installation of racks, containment and conveyance within the data center.
  • Direct team oversight for projects for installation of electrical and mechanical infrastructure.
  • Direct team oversight for projects with the deployment of IT equipment within data centers and building data center racks to customer design specifications.
  • Liquid cooling experience a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree or minimum of 10 years senior management Program/Project Management experience.
  • PMP or PMP Certified required.
  • Certified PMP with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership position (director or above) requiring broad organizational cross-functional collaboration and coordination
  • 10 year overall project management experience
  • Experience in LEAN/Six Sigma practices
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, enabling strong alignment with partners and navigation of conflict constructively
  • Efficient, effective communication and presentation abilities at EVP level, with ability to tailor approach to best reach intended audience
  • Solutions-oriented strategic thinker who can easily identify high-priority, high-impact activities
  • Experience coordinating large teams working within a matrixed based organization on complex efforts with many inter-dependencies
  • Navigate uncertainty with agility and maintains appropriate forward momentum with strong core team engagement
  • Experience with subcontractor management and direction for the installation of data center infrastructure
  • Electrical or mechanical certifications are a plus
  • ITIL, CDCP or CDCM certification are a plus

Compensation Details: $150,649 - $207,143 Annually

This amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position; however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, or any collective bargaining agreements.

For eligible positions, compensation may include participation in a bonus or sales incentive plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plan documents. For certain sales roles, Wesco also offers a commission structure that provides additional compensation based on sales results, as defined by the applicable commission plan.  Depending on the role, equity and other forms of compensation may also be provided as part of the total compensation package.
