Position Summary

As an IT Project Analyst, you will serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, focusing on gathering, analyzing, documenting project and software requirements. Responsibilities include gathering and analyzing project and software requirements to ensure they align with business objectives, create comprehensive software requirement documents that clearly outline project goals and technical specifications and perform rigorous quality assurance testing to verify that the software meets all defined requirements and adheres to quality standards. Acting as the main point of contact, you will facilitate effective communication between all parties involved, ensuring that project objectives are achieved with accuracy and efficiency.

Essential Functions

  • Create or maintain databases of known test defects.
  • Design test plans, scenarios, or procedures.
  • Create and maintain software requirements documentation to capture new product functionality or enhance current functionality.
  • Develop and implement records management program for filing, protection, and retrieval of records, and assure compliance with program.
  • Document findings of study and prepare recommendations for implementation of new systems.
  • Conduct interviews with business, technical, and problem experts to identify and communicate issues and gather comprehensive information to be used in problem identification and resolution
  • Work with different business groups to gain an understanding of the business and technical functions and translate that knowledge using the appropriate documentation (a requirements specification, user manuals, and other documentation as needed)
  • Create and maintain software requirements documentation to capture new product functionality or enhance current functionality
  • Validate project testing
  • Perform Quality Assurance testing on new/current functionality in order to ensure software specification requirements are met.

Skills & Abilities

Education : Bachelor's Degree (four year college or university) or equivalent work experience.

Experience : One to two years related experience

Computer Skills

  • Must have knowledge of technical documentation processes - including writing, editing, and GUI design
  • Expertise with MS Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Knowledge of testing software is extremely useful
  • General working knowledge of Oracle, SQL, HTML and Java Script is very beneficial
  • The ability to learn and summarize complex concepts and issues
