As a CBRE Senior Building Engineer, you will be responsible for performing sophisticated preventive and corrective maintenance, repairs and installations of electrical, mechanical, plumbing and/or HVAC/R (refrigeration) equipment, chillers, boilers, abatement devices, machinery and controls located in the interior and exterior of buildings. Working under general direction, supervises building system operations and performance. Has critical, niche knowledge required at client site.
This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function and is responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems. This includes providing on-call response (by phone or in-person) to incidents and emergencies during non-scheduled hours. The on-call team assignment rotates weekly among the Facility Engineering team.
No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. Coordinates and assigns tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project.

Perform Preventive Maintenance And Corrective Repair Of The Following
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Education And Experience
Additional certification in one or more of the following is a plus: electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, plumbing, carpentry or engine repair.
OTHER SKILLS And/or ABILITIES
Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function and is responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems. This includes providing on-call response (by phone or in-person) to incidents and emergencies during non-scheduled hours. The on-call team assignment rotates weekly among the Facility Engineering team.
- Must live within one hour radius of the job site to reliably work schedule/shift.
- Must be able to respond to emergency situations and customer concerns in the Santa Rosa area.
- Follows all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.
- Operates, maintains, monitors, and performs preventive and predictive maintenance on building equipment including: mechanical/HVAC-R/plumbing systems, electrical/cabling, fire detection and suppression, life safety, temperature control systems, building management systems, and digital systems to deliver maximum uptime.
- Prepares estimates detailing the time and materials needed to completing tasks.
- Maintains adequate supplies and tools and orders vital materials to finish the tasks.
- Coordinates and inspects the work performed by outside contractors.
- Contracted work may include the following but is not limited to: landscaping, snow removal, remodeling, HVAC/R, plumbing, and cleaning.
- Performs work in compliance with standard operating procedures and/or critical work packages, and maintenance work instructions.
- Performs inspection of building systems including fire alarms, HVAC/R, plumbing and electrical.
- Uses PC and/or PDA for work order system, email, ESS and training.
- Performs general maintenance and building systems operational duties as assigned or directed.

- Monitoring complex building system operations.

Education And Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and trade school or training.
- Minimum of five (5) years of Building Equipment Maintenance experience
- HVAC, Mechanical, Electrical systems, Plumbing, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional certification in one or more of the following is a plus: electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, plumbing, carpentry or engine repair.
