Empire Today is seeking an experienced, highly motivated President/CEO of our Sitton Flooring line of business. This is the top role within the Sitton Flooring organization, you will be tasked with leading the operational, financial and people strategies of the business. The CEO of Sitton will provide strategic, hands-on leadership while maintaining alignment with the goals and priorities of Empire Today’s commercial business. As a senior leader, the President of Sitton Flooring will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategy and execution of this growing company. This role is also responsible for improving our operations in all dimensions: sales, delivery, process, efficiency & effectiveness, team & culture, safety, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create/implement plans to capture market share and opportunities, reduce risks, and outpace local competitors.
  • Develop, train and retain a high performing team.
  • Lead the sales, installation and customer service teams in the execution of daily business.
  • Lead markets through annual, quarterly, monthly, and weekly plan development/execution.
  • Make recommendations/take action as needed to balance current needs with mid and long-term business growth.
  • Partner with Finance to set budgets, forecast performance, and track KPIs with a focus on meeting/exceeding goals.
  • Perform month-end close of financials.
  • Share strategic plans with market leaders, engage stakeholders, and integrate updated processes into daily operations.
  • Work alongside the entire Empire leadership team to achieve consistency and alignment.
  • Build a selling culture across the region.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, develop, and lead a team.
  • Strong B2B service orientation and experience.
  • 15 + years of multi-functional and multi-site management (incl. operators, service, admin, etc.), with at least 5 years’ regional/multi-facility responsibility and experience.
  • Experience leading a multi-site Operations and $30M+ business unit.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver operational, service level, and financial targets over a multi-year period, including appropriate year-over-year improvements.
  • Proven track record in leadership, prioritization, and follow up in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Experience with both employee and contractor workforces.
  • Experience in home improvement or home services industry preferred.
  • Experience with significant budget accountability and facilities oversight preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills with fluency in MS Office.

Salary Range: $175k to $250k plus bonus

Requirements:

  • Ability to travel a minimum of 50% of the time on an overnight basis.
  • The ability to physically and mentally perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
