Position Summary
The IT Support Specialist is the first point of contact for technical support at Arch Telecom, ensuring reliable IT operations and providing prompt assistance to employees at the corporate headquarters, retail stores, and affiliate companies. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Respond promptly to IT support requests via phone, email, or chat.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
Maintain and support computers, printers, VOIP phones, NVRs, iPads, cash drawers, media players, and other related devices.
Assist with user account setup, system configurations, and onboarding tasks.
Manage and document help desk tickets in Autotask or similar platforms.
Maintain IT inventory and software license records using tools such as LogMeIn
Support network administration, including VPN setup, printer management, Wi-Fi network and access point maintenance, and email administration.
Perform basic Microsoft 365 Power Apps workflow and automation tasks.
Create and maintain internal “How-To” documentation for recurring issues.
Coordinate with vendors, ISPs, and telecom providers for installations, upgrades, and account changes.
Participate in IT projects, upgrades, and deployments as assigned.
Be available for after-hours or weekend work and occasional travel as required.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma required; associate degree preferred.
Certifications: CompTIA A+ or equivalent preferred.
Experience
Two years of experience in a Service Desk or Desktop Support environment preferred.
Hands-on experience troubleshooting desktops, laptops, servers (Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022), and network equipment (routers, managed switches, access points).
Knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration, including account and application management.
Skills
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
Ability to quickly learn new technology and be able to manage different tasks effectively.
