Job Description

What You'll Do:

At Elemental LED, we’re looking for an Accounting Manager who’s ready to take ownership of our day-to-day accounting operations and lead a talented team to new levels of accuracy, efficiency, and growth. In this role, you’ll be the driving force behind our financial integrity — guiding your team through month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting while ensuring every process runs smoothly and on time. You’ll partner closely with leadership to strengthen internal controls, streamline workflows, and keep our financial systems running at peak performance. Beyond managing numbers, you’ll be mentoring people, shaping processes, and helping ensure Elemental LED continues to grow on a solid financial foundation.

Challenge Yourself – The Specifics:

  • Plans, organizes, and manages the daily operations of the Company’s accounting function to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with policies and procedures
  • Provides leadership to the accounting team by assigning work, reviewing deliverables, training staff, and supporting professional development
  • Oversees the entire Accounts Payable function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor and contractor invoices, appropriate approval workflows, correct coding, and prompt resolution of discrepancies or vendor inquiries
  • Prepares and reviews monthly, quarterly and annual tax reports and returns, including sales and use tax returns
  • Reviews and ensures timely reconciliation of ledgers, accounts, and supporting schedules; monitors accounting transactions to maintain accuracy and integrity
  • Supports various audits by preparing documentation, coordinating with auditors, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements
  • Prepares, reviews, and analyzes complex financial reports, statements, and schedules to support management decision-making
  • Ensures timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Monitors changes in accounting regulations, compliance requirements, and technology that may affect operations, and implements improvements as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

You Have a Unique Combination of Skills, Talents, and Mindset, Including Many of the Following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate financial environment
  • Supervisory or team leadership experience strongly preferred
  • Successful completion or candidacy for Certificate in Public Account (CPA) is preferred
  • Public accounting experience is a plus
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the ability to apply financial accounting concepts in practice
  • Knowledge of administrative practices, including goal setting, program development, implementation, and project management
  • Working knowledge of key accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and sales and use tax compliance
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite and Google Workspace
  • Experience with IFS ERP systems and working knowledge of SQL are strongly preferred; experience with QuickBooks and business intelligence/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI) is a plus
