Position Summary: The Pre-SIU Team Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and performance of Pre-SIU Investigators. This role focuses on managing the initial investigation of claim perils with a high propensity for fraud, including fire, theft, vandalism, hit while parked, catalytic converter theft, and other suspicious loss types. The Supervisor ensures thorough, timely investigations and effective documentation to support potential referrals to the Special Investigations Unit (SIU). This role also includes mentoring investigators and developing their skills as a pathway into full SIU roles.

Duties And Responsibilities
- Supervise and provide guidance to Pre-SIU Investigators in conducting initial investigations and identifying fraud indicators.
- Monitor investigator performance to ensure quality, compliance with investigative standards, and adherence to regulatory and company guidelines.
- Review and approve investigative findings and recommendations, including escalations to the SIU team.
- Ensure all investigative activity is thoroughly documented, objective, and completed in a timely manner.
- Collaborate closely with SIU leadership to maintain alignment on fraud trends, indicators, and referral quality expectations.
- Provide ongoing training, coaching, and mentorship to investigators, fostering fraud awareness and investigative development.
- Conduct regular quality audits of investigative files and ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
- Assist in refining workflows, protocols, and documentation standards to increase efficiency and investigative accuracy.
- Address escalated issues and provide resolution strategies or direction to investigators as needed.
- Maintain regular and dependable attendance and contribute to a productive team culture.
- Represent the company at relevant industry events, training programs, and meetings as assigned.
- Perform additional duties as necessary to support the success of the Pre-SIU Team and related initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Five or more years of experience in the Property and Casualty insurance industry, with at least two years in a supervisory, investigative, or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of insurance claims processes and fraud indicators, especially in fire, theft, and other high-risk perils.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, including team development, training, and performance management.
- Ability to make sound investigative decisions and guide investigators through complex or nuanced claim situations.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and clearly present investigative findings.
- Ability to assess trends, identify process gaps, and implement continuous improvement strategies.
- Proficiency in investigative tools, claims platforms, and documentation systems.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed performance targets and contribute to organizational goals.
- Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with staff, internal departments, and external partners.
- Clear and professional communication skills that foster a collaborative and productive team environment.

- This is an exempt position that may require flexibility in work hours to meet operational needs.
