Full-Time RN Nurse Educator/ Infection Preventionist
Responsibilities:
- Providing professional and technical guidance to subordinate nursing staff and participates in all management functions of the nursing department.
- IP collaborates and consults with physicians, managers, and staff for the management and prevention of infectious diseases.
- Plan, organize, develop, and direct all staff development educational programs throughout the facility.
- Providing learning opportunities that will enable all employees to gain knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to perform their assigned duties safely and effectively.
- Perform all duties in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing and Administrator.
- A professionally trained nurse that has earned a certificate/diploma or degree in nursing.
- Ability to work independently or part of a group.
- Leadership experience
- Communication skills
- Computer knowledge.
- Previous long-term care experience is required.
- Must have an active RN Registered Nurse license in Connecticut.
