We’re hiring a Software Quality Assurance Engineer I to support our Florida Operations team in Tallahassee. In this role, you’ll contribute to the integrity and reliability of our systems by performing hands-on testing, analyzing quality metrics, and ensuring our solutions meet the highest standards. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams and play a key role in delivering trusted technology to the Florida Lottery.
Responsibilities
Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses. We’re hiring a Software Quality Assurance Engineer I to support our Florida Operations team in Tallahassee. In this role, you’ll contribute to the integrity and reliability of our systems by performing hands-on testing, analyzing quality metrics, and ensuring our solutions meet the highest standards. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams and play a key role in delivering trusted technology to the Florida Lottery.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain test documentation, execute system tests, and manage test environments
- Identify, log, and track defects to ensure system accuracy and performance
- Mentor junior QA team members as needed
- Independently manage most testing activities, with support available for complex scenarios
- Collaborate with software development teams across locations to ensure quality standards
- Contribute to the development of site-specific QA procedures, test plans, and checklists
- Analyze data regularly to inform testing strategies and decisions
- Engage frequently with internal teams and external stakeholders, including the Florida Lottery
- Draft and review software specifications, RFSSs, and TIRs; assist in developing operational procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 2+ years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or a related discipline
- Familiarity with SEI, CMM, or ITIL frameworks is a plus
