Requires ability to work extended hours as needed and to travel on Court business is required, including overnight stays.

Agency Overview
The Supreme Court of Ohio is seeking to fill the position of Education Program Manager E-Learning in the Office of the Judicial College. The Education Program Manager E-Learning is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and administering curricula for all audiences of the Supreme Court of Ohio Judicial College, with a focus on online courses to be administered and/or delivered through the College’s Learning Management System (LMS).

- Online Course Development: Designs and develops online courses, writing narration scripts, creating visuals, and developing interactive tasks; Edits audio/video content and ensures courses meet College design standards.
- Course Maintenance: Maintains online courses, ensuring functionality and quality through feedback, revisions, and update tracking.
- Educational Needs Assessment: Conducts needs assessments with Court staff, faculty, and experts to design courses for specific populations; Develops course content, forms planning committees, and handles accreditation and credit requests.
- Evaluation and Improvement: Analyzes participant evaluations, shares feedback with leadership, and uses results to refine future courses. LMS Support: Assists in course delivery, testing, and troubleshooting within the Learning Management System (LMS); Responds to inquiries and complaints related to course functionality.
- Budget and Financial Management: Estimates costs, negotiates faculty fees, monitors expenses, and ensures alignment with financial plans; Analyzes trends and projects future financial needs.
- Live Education Support: Plans and facilitates live educational events, supporting the use of technology in offsite offerings. Continuously integrates new technology into course development.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Requires bachelor’s degree in instructional design, adult learning, education, instructional technology, business or public administration, or related field. Advanced degree in same fields strongly preferred.
- Requires two years experience in preparing and delivering online, live, blended, and/or hybrid educational programs for adults using adult learning principles and instructional design methods.
- Experience in a legal field and/or environment preferred.
- Course development: Ability to design, deliver, and evaluate courses, including needs assessments, learning objectives, outlines, and collaborating with faculty on content and teaching methods.
- Technical Proficiency: Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office, e-learning tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline), and Adobe Creative Cloud (image, audio, and video editing); Experience with SCORM for LMS deployment and familiarity with AV equipment
- Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with all levels of the Court and its constituents.
- Project Management: Ability to apply the principles, methods, or tools for developing, scheduling, coordinating, and managing projects and resources.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks effectively, meet deadlines, and adjust to changing demands.
- Communications: Ability to articulate thoughts and ideas clearly and effectively either verbally or in writing.
- Initiative: Skill in proactively addressing challenges.
- Judgement: Ability to make sound decisions based on evaluating information.
- Professionalism: Ability to perform all aspects of the job with professionalism, patience, discretion, and confidentiality.
- Budget Management: Proficiency in overseeing and allocating financial resources.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and resolve IT-related issues.
