Associate Attorney

We are currently partnered with a respected law firm seeking an Associate Attorney with a strong background in Immigration Law. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team, work alongside experienced attorneys, and help clients navigate complex legal matters-particularly those involving VAWA cases.

This role requires in-office presence in Vista, CA. Candidates must meet the following three criteria:

• Fluent in Spanish
• Able to work onsite in Vista, CA
• Have 2 or more recent years of experience handling VAWA cases
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Draft and review legal documents including briefs, RFEs, motions, affidavits, USCIS applications, and settlement agreements.
• Conduct legal research and prepare for EOIR hearings, USCIS interviews, and other immigration-related proceedings.
• Advise clients on legal strategies and provide solutions tailored to each case.
• Maintain accurate and organized client files to support collaborative work with attorneys and paralegals.
• Communicate professionally with clients via email, phone, and in-person, ensuring clarity and empathy in sensitive cases.
• Stay up to date with changes in immigration law and participate in ongoing training.
• Perform pre-sale consultations, assess eligibility, and manage client intake and qualification processes.
  
  

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active bar license in good standing in any U.S. state,
• Minimum 2 recent years of experience handling VAWA cases.
• Fluent in Spanish (required).
• Ability to work in-office at the firm's Vista, CA location.
• Strong legal research, drafting, and communication skills.
• Compassionate, detail-oriented, and capable of managing the emotional demands of immigration law.
