Junior Accountant - Security Services

Our client, is a leader in technology-enabled security services, providing off-duty law enforcement solutions to national and local clients. They are currently seeking a Junior Accountant in Norwalk, CT. This hybrid role is primarily responsible for applying accounting principles to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely reports and statements, and ensure proper accounting controls.

Job Function

• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP.
• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare monthly and annual financial statements.
• Maintain financial records in accordance with accepted policies and procedures.
• Meet all financial reporting deadlines accurately and timely.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, bank statements, and cash flows.
• Prepare and post journal entries based on approved schedules.
• Produce monthly closing schedules for benefits, payroll, debt, and prepaid accounts.
  
  
  

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 1-3 years of corporate accounting experience coming from the services industry.
• Experience with Sage Intacct or any large ERP system (software experience beyond QuickBooks required).
• Proficiency in Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Strong understanding of debits and credits.
