Position Summary

The Senior Training Development Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining employee training programs that enhance workforce skills, improve performance, and support career development. This role ensures that training initiatives align with organizational goals and foster a culture of continuous learning and growth.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive training and development strategy aligned with company objectives.
  • Conduct training needs assessments across departments and job roles.
  • Design, develop, and deliver engaging training programs (in-person, virtual, and hybrid).
  • Source and manage external training vendors and consultants when necessary.
  • Create and maintain training materials, manuals, and e-learning content.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics.
  • Continuously improve training content based on evaluation results and organizational changes.
  • Implement leadership and management development programs to build internal talent pipelines.
  • Support succession planning and career pathing initiatives.
  • Ensure training programs meet legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate training records and prepare reports for senior management.
  • Partner with department heads to identify skill gaps and training opportunities.
  • Communicate training schedules, objectives, and outcomes to stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Education, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in training and development, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design, adult learning principles, and training technologies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
  • Certification in training or development (e.g., CPTD, SHRM-CP, ATD) is a plus.
