The Sourcing & Procurement Specialist is responsible for overseeing the procurement lifecycle and contract management processes to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant acquisition of goods and services. This role plays a critical part in strategic sourcing, vendor negotiations, risk mitigation, and ensuring adherence to organizational policies and legal requirements.

$100,000—$115,000 USD

- This is a hybrid position and this role would need to go onsite to either of our client facilities in Menlo Park or Fremont. The current hybrid model is 3x per week but will need to go as often as the client needs.
The Sourcing & Procurement Specialist is responsible for overseeing the procurement lifecycle and contract management processes to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant acquisition of goods and services. This role plays a critical part in strategic sourcing, vendor negotiations, risk mitigation, and ensuring adherence to organizational policies and legal requirements.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage contracts with vendors, suppliers, and service providers.
- Ensure compliance with legal standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a centralized repository of contracts and monitor key milestones, renewals, and expirations.
- Support functional projects related to standard daily operations, related training programs and crisis management
- Support policy, procedure, and project work as assigned, working directly with the organization’s leadership team.
- Improve organization's initiatives and determine appropriate support.
- Develop and update communication materials for strategic projects.
- Work with clients and supervisors to identify and prioritize new and existing business initiatives.
- Communicates initiative status and feedback to managers, key stakeholders, and senior management.
- Participate and coordinate RFP process as requested by the organization.
- Lead the tasks and projects assigned to coordination staff.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and contractors.
- Facilitate vendor onboarding and ensure due diligence is completed.
- Collaborate with finance and operations teams to forecast procurement needs and manage budgets.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate favorable terms.
- Assess contractual risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure procurement activities align with ethical standards and sustainability goals.
- Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends.
- 5+ years of experience in procurement and contract management.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and contract lifecycle management tools.
- Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory frameworks.
