What You'll Do
- Position provides essential support to the procurement department
- Supports the procurement department by performing a variety of activities in support of the functional processes, programs, and/or services.
- Work may include working on department projects, compiling and analyzing data, creating reports, providing information regarding function specific policies and procedures, and tracking and control of processes, projects and activities.
- Frequent contact with individuals within own department as well as outside the organization; requiring some explanation or interpretation.
- Requires High School diploma and 1-3 years administrative or related experience.
- Requires strong understanding of general office routines and procedures.
- Understanding procurement and supplier management
- Must be able to purchase orders, track invoices, managing contract database and supporting supplier relationships, while also potentially contributing to policy development and data analysis.
- Must have proficiency at Microsoft office suite including Word and Excel
- Have solid analytical, problem-solving, communication & project management skills
