Store Planner & Designer

Soni is seeking an experienced Store Planner and Designer for a retail client undergoing major growth and expansion. This role plays a critical part in shaping customer and associate in-store experiences by translating business needs into thoughtfully designed layouts and architectural plans. Projects include new store builds, expansions, remodels, and unique build-outs—all guided by brand standards, budget targets, and timeline expectations.

What You’ll Do:

• Design and produce fixture and architectural layouts tailored to each site’s unique requirements, ensuring compliance with brand standards and enhancing functionality.
• Collaborate across multiple teams including Design, Store Operations, Merchandise Planning, Architecture, and Construction to align layout strategies with business goals.
• Analyze site surveys and gathered data to guide planning decisions; balance customer flow, merchandising needs, and construction feasibility.
• Troubleshoot design and construction challenges and provide creative, actionable solutions throughout all phases of the planning process.
• Review and ensure accurate distribution of drawings to support store openings and renovation schedules.
• Mentor junior planners and work with external consultants to ensure consistency in standards and expectations.
  
  
  

What We’re Looking For:

• 8+ years in store planning, retail design, interior design, or architectural planning, preferably in the retail sector.
• Strong command of AutoCAD (required) and Revit (preferred); experience using these for fixture and architectural layout planning must be noted in resume or summary.
• Working knowledge of construction standards, building codes, and retail store operations.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
  
  
  

Compensation: $30 - $36/Hour Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
