Position Summary
The Facilities Technician position provides support for daily church activities by completing tasks related to cleaning facilities (general housekeeping), event set up of furniture and related equipment, and small projects.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required function independently and to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
Work Schedule
The Facilities Technician position provides support for daily church activities by completing tasks related to cleaning facilities (general housekeeping), event set up of furniture and related equipment, and small projects.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Facility cleaning – general building areas, worship areas, restrooms, offices, meeting rooms
- Event set up – move tables and chairs in and out of event spaces before and at completion of event
- Print and read event calendars in order to perform set up
- Empty outdoor trash cans and pick up litter on grounds and parking lots
- Other related projects/duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Dependability is a must – employees must report for work as scheduled, and clock in and out on time
- Must be able to follow daily instruction from the Facilities Manager
- Willing and able to learn new tasks quickly
- A valid Arkansas driver's license, and ability to pass a driving record check in order to drive church vehicles
- Committed to Fellowship Bible Church’s mission, values, and beliefs
- Handle confidential information in a Christ like and professional manner
- Signed acknowledgement of Fellowship Bible Church’s “Confession of Faith” form
- Signed acknowledgement to policies and procedures as stated in Fellowship Bible Church’s Employee Manual, Position Papers, and Fellowship Distinctives
- Living out the spiritual principles outlined in the “Code of Conduct”

Work Schedule
- Work schedules are full-time and may include working on weekend days
- Overtime is often available when large events need to be staffed
