Our client, a well-established organization, is seeking a Operations Manager/Accountant (Payroll Oversight) to join its growing team. This role is ideal for an Accountant with strong payroll expertise who enjoys accuracy, compliance, and contributing to a collaborative finance environment. The Payroll Accountant will play a vital role in ensuring timely processing, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Salary: $90,000 - $110,000

Operations Manager/Accountant (Payroll Oversight) Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operational activities to ensure smooth business processes.
  • Oversee full-cycle accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, journal entries, and reconciliations.
  • Administer payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance with tax laws, and timely processing.
  • Prepare financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and assist with year-end tax preparation.
  • Collaborate with leadership to implement operational improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise and mentor finance and administrative staff as needed.

Operations Manager/Accountant (Payroll Oversight) Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in operations management or accounting with a focus on operations, as well as payroll oversight.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (Great Plains, ADP or similar) and MS Excel.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience managing teams is a plus.
