About The Role
The Project Manager – FEED is responsible for leading front-end engineering and design activities to ensure projects are strategically positioned for successful execution. This role requires expertise in developing early-stage project strategies, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and managing stakeholder communications. The Project Manager will balance technical oversight with project controls to deliver high-quality FEED packages that support cost, schedule, and risk certainty. A strong background in construction-focused projects, with preference for modular housing and multi-facility design, is essential. Experience in emergency or rapid response deployments is highly desirable.

Job Duties
Project Planning and Coordination
- Lead FEED planning, scope definition, schedules, and preliminary budgets in collaboration with engineering, construction, and project stakeholders.
- Apply construction-focused expertise to ensure FEED deliverables translate into executable and cost-effective construction plans.
- Coordinate cross-functional design reviews, with emphasis on modular construction and multi-facility layout requirements.
- Monitor FEED progress against milestones, identifying risks, and implementing mitigation strategies in coordination with stakeholders.
- Manage documentation workflows including submittals, RFIs, and preliminary design deliverables.
- Oversee preparation of subcontract and purchase order contracts during FEED phase, ensuring alignment with project strategy.
- Track and process early-stage change requests to ensure proper scope management.
- Support subcontractors, suppliers, and engineering partners in resolving design or constructability issues to keep FEED activities on schedule.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for FEED-related communications with internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and deliver progress reports, status updates, and FEED closeout documentation.
- Facilitate design coordination meetings and workshops to align stakeholders on project scope, schedule, and technical decisions.
- Collaborate closely with the program manager, estimator, and scheduler to validate FEED deliverables, track critical path activities, and manage schedule float.
- Identify opportunities for follow-on projects and additional services stemming from successful FEED execution.
- Conduct market and client research to identify new bid opportunities aligned with the company’s strategic goals, with emphasis on modular and rapid deployment projects.
- Present potential opportunities to executive stakeholders for pursuit decisions.
- Support account executives and senior leadership with client communications and proposal development during early project stages.
- Prequalify and assess potential vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors with experience in modular and multi-facility construction.
- Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost, and schedule reliability.
- Evaluate industry trends and incorporate best practices into sourcing strategies during FEED.
- Track and report vendor and subcontractor performance to maintain an updated and reliable supplier database.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in project management, with strong experience in construction-focused projects. Preference for candidates with modular housing and multi-facility design experience; background in emergency or rapid-response deployment projects is highly favorable.
- Certifications: Project management certification (e.g., PMP) desirable.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, adaptability, and time management skills with proven ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Microsoft Office Suite, Netsuite, or Primavera); advanced skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
