- Prepare and maintain accurate accounting records and documents.
- Manage bank deposits, general ledger entries, and statements.
- Reconcile accounts promptly and accurately.
- Perform data entry of financial transactions into accounting software.
- Research and resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Assist in month-end reporting and closing processes.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
- Issue checks and match invoices to ensure proper approvals.
- Prepare and maintain spreadsheets and financial reports.
- Serve as primary backup to Staff Accountant/Payroll Specialist.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and support colleagues across the agency.
- General payroll processing experience with familiarity in payroll software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Excel, Access, and Word.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Capability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Basic knowledge of home health care business operations preferred.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple concurrent projects.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.
