PeaceHealth is accepting applications for The Coeta and Donald Barker Foundation Nurse Residency Program at Sacred Heart Medical Center Riverbend in Springfield, OR.
This is an exciting opportunity for new graduate nurses to enter a program providing technical excellence as well as nursing excellence, compassionate care for our patients and community. The Nurse Residency Program provides a comprehensive transition to practice program offering interactive, evidence-based curriculum designed to build clinical skills and competency in patient outcomes, leadership and the professional nurse role. This is a 12-month program reflecting the .
Start dates are determined by looking at several factors: NCLEX, Licensing, relocation and department needs. If you are interested in multiple PeaceHealth locations, you must submit an application to each hospital you are interested in.

- A new graduate RN (graduated within the last 12 months or upcoming graduate) or a RN who has been licensed for less than 12 months with less than 6 months of Acute Care experience as a RN.
- An active Oregon RN license by date of hire.
- American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers required by date of hire.
- Able to participate in all program activities throughout the 12-month residency period.
- Ability to work 36 to 40 hours per week.
- Available to work 8, 10 or 12-Hour Shifts.
- Available to work, Day, Eve and Night Shifts
- Flexible to work any day of the week as schedules rotate per union standards.
- Willing to sign a 2-year commitment letter
