The Senior Trademark Paralegal will be a member of the Trademark Team in GE Aerospace Legal. This role is a key member of the Trademark Team within GE Aerospace Legal. Reporting to the Chief Brand Counsel, this role supports the business's licensing, trademark, and overall legal brand strategy. The position requires a strong understanding of best practices in trademark management and how the trademark function integrates with other areas of the business, such as legal, marketing, and product development. This role is located in Norwalk, Connecticut or Evendale, Ohio. Relocation assistance is offered.

Job Description
Role and Responsibilities
- The Senior Trademark Paralegal will focus on managing and supervising international trademark prosecution and enforcement matters for both the GE and GE Aerospace trademark portfolios. Key responsibilities include:
- Manage and instruct outside counsel on international trademark matters.
- Correspond with business clients regarding trademark issues.
- Assist with preliminary trademark searches in the U.S. and report results to business clients.
- Prepare and file trademark applications at WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization) and USPTO (U.S. Patent and Trademark Office).
- Draft responses to Office Actions.
- Docket and upload documents as needed.
- Manage Trademark Team billing, budget, and financial plans.
- Assist with contract review and licensing matters.
- Support the Brand Governance team in meetings and events.
- Participate in and help organize in-house training seminars and sessions.
- Lead and assist the team in organizing long-term strategic projects and Lean goals/objectives.
- 5+ years of trademark or comparable Intellectual Property paralegal experience at a law firm or company.
- Experience with electronic filing at USPTO and WIPO. Strong knowledge of U.S. trademark procedures and regulations.
- Experience with international prosecution and working with outside counsel.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
- Trademark Expertise: Deep Understanding of U.S. and international trademark procedures.
- Project Management: Ability to lead strategic projects and align with Lean goals.
- Communication Skills: Strong ability to correspond with business clients and outside counsel.
- Attention to Detail: Precision in filing applications, drafting responses, and managing budgets.
- Team Player: Willingness to adapt and assist where necessary
