Position: Environmental Services Supervisor

Location: Boynton Beach, FL

Shift: Full-Time | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Salary: $26.00/hour

About the Role:

Heartland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services Supervisor to oversee the facility’s housekeeping operations and staff. This position ensures residents enjoy a clean, safe, and orderly living environment while promoting a culture of compliance, teamwork, and excellence in service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage Environmental Services staff, including hiring, training, assigning duties, and conducting performance evaluations.
• Develop and implement systems to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of housekeeping operations.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inspections to maintain a safe and sanitary environment.
• Oversee purchasing and inventory of cleaning supplies, chemicals, paper products, and equipment.
• Maintain departmental records and reports according to facility policies.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Participate in facility disaster planning and emergency drills.
• Collaborate with the Administrator on budget development and departmental goals.
• Serve on committees such as QAPI, Infection Control, and department head meetings.
• Promote and protect residents’ rights, safety, and dignity at all times.
  
  
  

Requirements:

• Minimum of three years supervisory experience, preferably in a skilled nursing facility’s environmental services.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply policies, manuals, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive situations with tact, patience, and professionalism.
• Physical ability to move intermittently throughout the day and perform required tasks.
• High school diploma required; Associate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• Knowledge of infection control practices and relevant regulatory agencies.
• Basic math skills, including calculations involving whole numbers, fractions, decimals, ratios, and percentages.
