About The Position
The Festival Programming Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day administrative needs of the Festival Programming Department while communicating with all appropriate parties, both internally and externally to the organization, to ensure seamless planning and reporting for the annual Seattle International Film Festival.
Dates of Employment: November 3, 2025 - May 29, 2026
Compensation: $21.30/hour
Status: Full Time (40 hours/week)
Reports to: Artistic Director
Primary Responsibilities
This and all SIFF positions require that employees are residing and completing work duties within the state of Washington.
This position will work onsite at specified theater/s & offices. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, and office duties are conducted in an open environment.

Primary Responsibilities
- Programming Data Entry (Nov - Apr)
- Work with the Artistic Director to ensure that SIFF 2026 programmers have all necessary information and support
- Manage team of Festival pre-screening viewers
- Manage submissions, including FilmFreeway access, creating discount codes, answering questions sent to [email protected], and tracking numbers and films watched
- Input data into film database about other festival programming
- Festival Programming Coordination (Dec - Apr)
- Prepare programming board and materials for SIFF 2026 scheduling
- Enter pre-show, trailer, and introduction information into database
- Schedule introductions for film screenings, adjusting or filling in as needed
- Materials Coordination (Mar - Apr)
- Gather and organize materials from filmmakers for use by Marketing, Publications, and PR
- Jury Assistance (May)
- Organize SIFF 2026 Jury members (15-20 people), including initial travel arrangements, and work with Guest Relations to make sure all information is correct and available
- Prepare daily schedule for SIFF Jury Members while they are at the festival
- Ensure all jury members have links to view the films in competition
- Prepare awards for shipping and complete award paperwork
- Other duties as assigned
- Onsite availability beginning 11/3/25 and ending no earlier than 5/29/26
- 1-2 years experience with data entry
- Proficient using Google Suite and Microsoft Office
- Prior experience in some aspects of Film Festivals
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Demonstrated commitment to racial equity and social justice
- Have superior interpersonal skills
- Have exceptional customer service skills
- Be organized and detail oriented
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Have the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and problem solve
- Have the ability to remain calm under stress with the ability to stay focused on a task
- Community arts, festival and/or non-profit experience is a plus
- Experience with Filemaker Pro database is a plus
- This is a full-time FLSA overtime non-exempt position
- WA State Sick leave
- Access to discounts and passes to some SIFF programming and events hosted by neighboring Arts organizations
- This role is not eligible for benefits coverage
