Description

The YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City has an immediate opening for an Associate Vice President of Membership.

The Associate Vice President of Membership provides strategic leadership for the YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City’s membership, engagement, and corporate partnership initiatives across all branches. This position drives growth, retention, and member experience outcomes aligned with the Association’s 30x30 strategic impact plan. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the VP serves as the senior leader responsible for unifying membership operations, advancing analytics-driven strategies, expanding corporate and community partnerships, and fostering a culture of belonging, excellence, and measurable impact.

  • Salary range: $69,000-$103,500 depending on experience

Essential Functions

  • Develop and implement an Association-wide membership strategy focused on acquisition, engagement, and retention that delivers measurable growth in membership units, revenue, and satisfaction.
  • Align branch-level membership operations to the Association’s 30x30 strategic plan and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Oversee corporate membership partnerships, building new collaborations that expand reach and strengthen brand visibility across the region.
  • Leverage data and analytics to identify trends, forecast opportunities, and guide decisions that enhance member experience and fiscal performance.
  • Ensure consistent standards of service, sales, and retention practices across all membership departments.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop branch membership directors and coordinators to create a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Partner with Marketing, Healthy Living, and Operations teams to deliver integrated engagement strategies that drive participation and member loyalty.
  • Advance diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging through all membership and engagement practices.
  • Develop annual membership budgets, monitor performance, and guide financial management across branches to achieve Association goals.
  • Serve as a key liaison for membership committees, volunteer councils, and board initiatives related to growth and impact.
  • Represent the YMCA with external partners, corporations, and community leaders to promote collaboration and shared-value outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, human services, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience in membership, sales, or operations leadership; YMCA or multi-branch experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in building partnerships and managing corporate or community membership programs.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, drive results through data and metrics, and manage complex budgets.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with an ability to influence and inspire across organizational levels.
  • Y-USA Organizational Leader certification preferred or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire.
