The TMS Technician will be responsible for administering TMS treatments according to protocols provided by our medical team, while supporting and educating patients before, during, and after treatment sessions. This role involves collaborating closely with other behavioral health professionals and ensuring a safe, compassionate, and comfortable treatment experience for every patient.

This is a part-time position, ideal for individuals with healthcare, psychology, or neuroscience experience who are seeking meaningful, patient-focused work in a flexible outpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer TMS treatments following physician and manufacturer protocols.
  • Accurately position the patient and treatment coil to ensure effective stimulation.
  • Monitor patient comfort, treatment accuracy, and safety during each session.
  • Educate patients about the TMS procedure, possible side effects, and answer questions.
  • Support patients in completing psychiatric rating scales after sessions.
  • Document treatment details, progress notes, and observations in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
  • Collaborate with supervising psychiatrists and other TMS-certified physicians.
  • Manage patient inquiries and communicate any medical concerns to the clinical team.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe treatment environment.
  • Create a supportive and empathetic atmosphere that fosters patient trust and engagement.


Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, Nursing, or related field preferred.
  • Experience working with patients experiencing depression or anxiety is preferred.
  • Prior behavioral health or medical assisting experience a plus.


Certifications:

  • Completion of manufacturer-approved TMS training program (training provided).
  • Current CPR/BLS certification required.


Knowledge & Skills:

  • Strong communication, professionalism, and empathy.
  • Demonstrable proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
  • Proper English usage, spelling, and grammar.
  • Familiarity with office software, email etiquette, and basic computer skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, OSHA, and facility policies.
