Job Description:

Supplier Quality Engineer:

  • Work closely with Production and Engineering teams to Investigate supplier and operational quality issues and ensure the issues to be well defined and communicated to the cross-functional team.
  • Assess the impact of the issues and work with cross-functional teams to liaison a path forward to disposition in order to mitigate production line downtime risk.
  • Manage the coordination and disposition of the nonconformance through Process Change Notifications or Deviations.
  • Help root cause analysis and provide fact & data-based information to concerned parties for problem solving.
  • Manage deviation and process change requests. Support NPI projects.

Typical Task Breakdown:

  • Review rejects from both incoming quality inspection and production floor.
  • Investigate critical quality issues, create problem statements and communicate to the cross-functional team.
  • Manage and coordinate the containment activities (sorting/rework) to minimize the impact on production operations due to quality issues.
  • Support problem solving and continuous improvement projects.
  • Coordinate the disposition of Process Change Notifications and Deviations.

Education & Experience Required:

  • Years of experience: 2-4 years in the manufacturing industry.
  • Degree requirement: Bachelor"s degree or equivalent work experience

  • Are there past or additional job titles or roles that would provide comparable background to this role: quality engineer, manufacturing engineer, quality technician.
