SUMMARY:

Leads the AVL Technician team in projects, installs, events and performances throughout all properties. The Lead AVL Technician serves as a key point of contact for technical troubleshooting and project execution.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include The Following

  • Coordinates, assigns and leads a team of AVL Technicians during events, conferences, and performances.
  • Acts as Lead point of contact for AV projects and installs.
  • Installs, configures, operates and troubleshoots commercial AV systems, including video conferencing, control systems, audio distribution, digital signage, and projection systems.
  • Supports internal and external events across multiple departments by operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting audio-visual equipment for events, conferences, and performances.
  • Communicates with clients and performers regarding AVL needs.
  • Manages AVL equipment inventory and maintenance.
  • Assists with a variety of production related preparation, planning, and facilitation at all Four Winds properties.
  • Generates technical documentation such as stage plots, signal flow plans, lighting plots, and others as needed.
  • Assists with event setup and tear-down at the direction of Entertainment Manager.
  • Possesses strong knowledge of digital signal flow, video projection systems, video switching and camera operation, audio systems and consoles and stage lighting systems and consoles.
  • Possesses strong knowledge of AMX, Dante, Q-Sys, and other systems, controllers, and equipment commonly used by the department.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE

Minimum of High school diploma or GED required.

3-5+ years of commercial AV experience, with 1-2 years in a lead or supervisory role.

Proficiency in commercial AV platforms.

Special Qualifications

Proficient with and able to properly operate audio mixing consoles, digital lighting consoles, video and camera switchers.

Strong understanding of AMX, Q-Sys, and Dante systems.

Strong understanding of digital signal flow and equipment troubleshooting required.

CTS or CTS-I certification preferred.

Excellent communications skills and organizational skills required. Must be computer-literate with basic word processing and spreadsheet skills.

This position requires a Level 4 Gaming License.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex of documents, such as technical manuals. Ability to effectively communicate in one-on-one, small group, and large group settings, both with employees and outside vendors.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
