Equity Research Associate/Senior Associate – Managed Care (US)
Our Nashville-based team covers multiple subsectors in healthcare and the life science supply chain, including managed care, contract research organizations, contract manufacturing organizations and related.
Responsibilities will include:
We are looking for a candidate who has healthcare services experience with a particular emphasis on managed care. The job also requires advanced Excel and data analysis skills, in addition to clear and concise written/oral communication skills. The candidate should be a fast learner, self-starter, detail-oriented, and able to learn and work independently with limited direction, while communicating project progress and findings timely and effectively. The candidate should enjoy the challenge of making contributions that directly impact the growth of the franchise.
This person should like to take on significant responsibility, be able to balance multiple overlapping projects, and prioritize. With demonstrated competence and accountability, associates on our team should expect to enjoy interesting projects; autonomy in modeling and writing; and exposure to sales, institutional investor clients, and top management at companies.The team’s weekly schedule is dependent on particular assignments, with higher volumes of workload during quarterly reporting periods.
Primary Location Full Time Salary Range of $100,000 - $165,000.

The salary offered will take into consideration an individual’s experience level and qualifications. Equity Research Associate/Senior Associate – Managed Care (US)

Responsibilities will include:
- Working underneath publishing analysts to cover the managed care subsector.
- Understanding the U.S. healthcare system and, by extension, the managed care sector within healthcare
- Building, maintaining, analyzing and forecasting “3-statement” financial models
- Identifying and building models around managed care KPIs, such as cost trend, pricing, and enrollment
- Identifying correlations and predictive indicators of covered company fundamental performance
- Transforming complicated datasets into compelling graphics
- Monitoring, digesting and synthesizing industry and company news and communicating implications to senior team members and investor clients
- Assist with writing research reports, earnings analyses, and industry/company news Working in a fast-paced environment without compromising attention to detail
- Interfacing with company management teams, internal sales/trading personnel, and institutional investors
- Identify and cultivate relationships with relevant industry experts and executives to identify corporate access events including company non-deal roadshows, conferences, summits, and expert interactions (some travel may be required)
