The Role: The Senior Mechanical Engineer will perform research, design, and development in such areas as mechanical, thermal, hydraulic, thermodynamic, or heat transfer for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy. They will also define planning and methodologies to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines.

They will also define planning and methodologies to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Designing heat exchangers to meet customer requirements, at time including ASME code and other governing body specifications
- Performs ASME calculation for Heat Exchanger design
- Management of long term projects
- Support manufacturing by resolving engineering related issues
- Work with drafting to develop drawings & bills of materials
- Test Lab work including thermal testing of Heat exchangers, pressure testing, etc.
- Participate in improvement activities
- Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities
- Participation in Cost Savings Projects
- BS in Mechanical Engineering
- CAD background
- Proficient in PTC CREO
- Proficient in MS Office Applications
- Proficient in AutoCAD
- ASME code knowledge (Section VIII, Section III, Section V, and Section IX) is a plus
- Knowledge of Military Standards and Specifications is preferred
- Ability to work in a team
- Project Management Experience
- Office/Mfg. Plant: 50/50
- Minimal travel required
