POSITION SUMMARY

An HR Generalist ensures our most valuable resource – people – are at the forefront of every decision. This position will work in a variety of capacities to ensure compliance and culture remain top priorities.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Recruit, interview and facilitate hiring applications for open positions. Collaborate with department managers to understand skills and competencies for openings.
  • Prepare job descriptions, ensuring they are current and reflect the skills, qualifications, and education required.
  • Assist with succession planning through organizational design as the business evolves.
  • Serve as Culture Champion to promote a positive and effective workplace environment.
  • Process bi-weekly payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Support selection and administration of benefit programs.
  • Works with background screening agency to conduct eligibility verifications.
  • Implement new hire orientation, onboarding, and employee recognition programs.
  • Serves as a resource for managers on performance management, recognition, and employee morale initiatives.
  • Oversee employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors; refers complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate manager.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with employment laws and regulations and best practices.
  • Reviews company policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains HR files, records, and documentation with compliance and retention standards.
  • Partners with COO to evaluate and improve HR processes, programs, and technology.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field or the equivalent work experience in HR
  • 5+ years’ experience in progressively responsible Human Resources roles
  • ADP TotalSource knowledge strongly preferred
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office applications
  • Time management to perform multiple projects simultaneously
  • Analytical to evaluate effectiveness of policies and identify areas of improvement
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Work well with employees at all levels in the organization
  • Ability to work as a team as well as independently


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to read computer screens, written documents, and email.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
