Job Responsibilities
- Employee pulls and self-assigns projects through an on-line Art/Order dashboard.
- Read and interpret orders, following directions indicated on the order.
- Produce custom designs as specified on orders tied to defined product, decoration process, and graphic concepts.
- Follows brand standards, licensing guidelines, garment specifications, and manufacturing requirements; creating a garment decoration that will experience success in the marketplace.
- Runs Spell Check on every art.
- Works with Senior Artists to trouble shoot files and resolve art issues.
- Works directly with sales reps, buyers, and licensors, to refine and edit art files as needed.
- Works with Art Support to resolve and/or update order information.
- Works with Graphic Services to create color separation files which are used for producing screens.
- Manages orders and workflow to effectively meet all deadlines and ship date requirements.
- Saves art files to appropriate network locations.
- Will assist with Double Proofing, Quality Auditing, and Editing assignments as job knowledge increases.
- Special projects are assigned as needed.
- Overtime will be required at certain times throughout the year.
- Degree in Commercial Art, Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related experience.
- Working knowledge of the Macintosh computer and advanced knowledge of Adobe – Creative Cloud, especially Adobe Illustrator.
- Professional design skills, including a strong knowledge and understanding of typography.
- Available to work overtime during peak demands and event seasons (daily and weekends).
- Understands the functions of the department, including the printing processes, art creation, order flow, licensing, art approvals and Graphic Services.
