Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Oversee full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning to meet business needs.
- Develop strategies to attract and retain a diverse and highly skilled workforce.
- Collaborate with leadership to ensure staffing aligns with company goals.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work culture through engagement initiatives and support programs.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns, conflict resolution, and performance management.
- Implement and oversee employee recognition and professional development programs.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, including EEOC, FMLA, ADA, and HIPAA.
- Develop, maintain, and enforce HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Maintain accurate employee records and oversee HR reporting.
- Manage compensation structures, benefits administration, and payroll oversight in collaboration with Financial Operations.
- Oversee performance appraisal processes and assist leadership in developing performance improvement plans.
- Provide guidance on salary benchmarking and market trends.
- Optimize HR technology and systems to improve efficiency and employee experience.
- Manage HR metrics, reporting, and analytics to support decision-making.
- Lead HR projects and initiatives to enhance organizational effectiveness.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree or HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of HR management experience, preferably in a remote, Government Contracting, or healthcare/research environment.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with workforce planning and inclusion initiatives
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with HRIS, ATS, and performance management software (Paylocity, SAP Concur).
- This is a remote-first position, with infrequent travel as required to meet with internal and external stakeholders.
- Occasional travel may include attending conferences, collaborating with partners, visiting research sites, or engaging with regulatory agencies.
- The role primarily involves work in virtual environments, with occasional visits to laboratories, offices, or research sites as necessary.
- Flexibility to adapt to evolving program needs, organizational priorities, and federal compliance requirements.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods during virtual meetings, financial reviews, and program activities.
- Occasionally handle materials or documentation related to project management and financial operations.
