Position Summary:

The Content Manager - Custom Projects is responsible for supporting the School Division by managing custom project schedules, tracking deliverables, and ensuring smooth coordination across teams. The Content Manager is responsible for creating custom alignments of content to standards, requiring attention to detail and analytical skills. The Content Manager must have the ability to work successfully in a dynamic environment under the direction of a Content Director.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Vet and propose solutions for custom product opportunities across sales channels.
    • Collaborate with authors, editors, customers, sales consultants, vendors, and freelancers to create materials that reflect Teacher Created Materials’ mission and meet custom product goals.
    • Guide the development of resources using information from the sales team to ensure project objectives meet the needs of customers, teachers, and students.
  • Manage the creation of custom alignments, coordinating with internal and external teams to meet deadlines, address specific customer or program needs, and ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Develop, maintain, and update detailed Asana project schedules.
    • Coordinate team tasks and dependencies, track progress and deadlines, proactively address potential delays, and flag potential risks to schedules and escalate conflicts to leadership.
    • Provide clear and timely project updates to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment on progress, deadlines, and deliverables.
    • Provide reporting on project progress, potential bottlenecks, and resource needs.
    • Track milestones and ensure stakeholders are aligned on deliverables.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of educational trends, standards, best practices, and products from the front list and backlist of all imprints and brands under Teacher Created Materials to inform project work and ensure content relevance.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA or BS degree in education or related field or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years K–12 classroom teaching experience preferred
  • 2+ years experience with TCM product line preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office suite, Asana, SalesForce, and NetSuite
  • Exceptional organizational skills especially when managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting tight deadlines
  • Ability to anticipate risks and proactively resolve project challenges
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Superior written and verbal skills

Physical Requirements:

  • Sit for extended periods of time; including at a computer.
  • Occasional lifting up to 15 lbs.
  • Repetitive hand and wrist movements for frequent use of computer keyboard and mouse.

Work Conditions :

General Office Environment - in office minimum of four days a week
