The Association of Former Students engages and inspires the Aggie Network for Texas A&M University in perpetuating the Aggie Spirit. Through our Annual Fund, as well as other revenue streams, we provide scholarships, endowments, emergency student loans, and awards for faculty. Our newest colleague will join our accounting team in advancing our mission through dedicated support that ensures the highest quality of integrity for our accounting system and processes.

Essential Functions Of The Role
MINIMUM SKILLS REQUIRED
Professionalism, detail-orientation, efficiency, confidentiality, and organizational skills. Strong proof reading and time management skills. Awareness and understanding of GAAP and internal controls. Proficiency with information system platforms and calculators; Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and interpersonal).
Physical Capacity Requirements
Ability to sit or stand for long periods on occasion and carry objects up to 10 pounds. Ability to work at a desk with frequent use of keyboard and monitor. EDUCATION
Required: Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
Preferred: Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Texas A&M University in College Station; Some accounting or business classes completed.
Experience
Preferred: Previous work experience in an office environment.
SUPERVISION
Received: Accounting Manager, although frequent teamwork and collaboration with all accounting staff.
Given: None.

Essential Functions Of The Role
- Absolute discretion and confidentiality.
- Positive and professional demeanor.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, particularly with numerical information.
- Analytical, editing, and numerical skills.
- Assist with input and filing of W-9’s.
- Ensures all disbursement items are properly and timely routed.
- Assists with data entry for assigned expense vouchers, vendor invoices, employee expense reports and employee BOA expense reports.
- Assist with data entry for annual fund, ring and miscellaneous cash receipts and receivables.
- Assist with all other data entry as necessary.
- Scan invoices and organize scans in computer files.
- Process check run.
- Scan select journal vouchers or cash receipts.
- Obtain signatures on all open items.
- File all accounting items (cash receipts, payables, journal vouchers, account reconciliations, etc.)
- Assist with various account reconciliations.
- Assist accounting staff with basic inquiries requiring MIP software.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Participate in various Association-wide activities such as engagement and fundraising goals, internal event teams, task committees, attending gameday receptions, Distinguished Alumni Gala and other external events as required.
- Serve as an ambassador by meeting our Team Expectations, fostering relationships with students and other constituents of Texas A&M.
