The KY Veterans Ctr Housekeeping Supervisor position is responsible for supervising all housekeeping and laundry functions and employees at the Bowling Green Veterans Center.

Responsibilities May Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Supervises and directs all housekeeping or laundry functions at the facility to maintain general appearance and cleanliness of facility
• Plans, assigns, and inspects the work of housekeeping and laundry employees
• Instructs and trains housekeeping and laundry employees
• Maintains inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and laundry supplies
• Handles large scale housekeeping and laundry problems
• Proficient in usage of all related equipment
• Establishes and maintains departmental procedures and policies
• Recruits, interviews and selects qualified employees for the department
• Prepares and maintains records and reports of laundry and housekeeping operations

Minimum Requirements

EDUCATION: High school graduate.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Five years of experience in commercial or institutional housekeeping or laundry operation.

Working Conditions

Work typically involves walking, bending, stooping, sitting and lifting. May risk exposure to chemicals associated with cleaning supplies.
