Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (3x12-hour shifts, Monday to Friday)

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients in a fast-paced emergency department setting. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical judgment, critical thinking skills, and the ability to remain calm and effective under pressure while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Key Responsibilities:

Implement, monitor, and evaluate patient care plans in coordination with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition and vital signs to physicians and team members.

Serve as the primary coordinator for all disciplines involved in patient care to ensure continuity and efficiency.

Administer medications, perform treatments, and carry out physician and nursing orders accurately.

Assess and prioritize patient needs in an emergency setting, providing prompt interventions as required.

Assist with triage, stabilization, and resuscitation of critical patients.

Document all assessments, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.

Collaborate with case management and other healthcare professionals to coordinate discharge planning and follow-up care.

Adhere to infection control, safety, and ethical nursing practices at all times.
Qualifications & Requirements:

Active RN license in the state of Rhode Island (or compact state).

Minimum 5 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience required.

Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (TNCC preferred).

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork abilities.

Ability to thrive in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment.

EMR proficiency (Epic or similar system experience preferred).
Work Environment:

Hospital-based Emergency Department setting.

Night shift (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), 3 shifts per week.

Requires physical stamina, quick decision-making, and emotional resilience.
