Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced carpentry work including framing, trim, cabinetry, and structural repairs
- Lead by example on the jobsite and supervise laborers or small carpentry crews
- Interpret construction drawings and ensure work is performed to spec
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized worksite
- Solve construction and layout challenges in the field with a creative, can-do mindset
- Coordinate with project managers and superintendents to stay on schedule and budget
- Ensure all work meets Hercon's high standards for quality and craftsmanship
- Train and mentor junior carpenters and laborers as needed
- Track materials, tools, and inventory for assigned tasks
- 2 - 3 years of professional carpentry experience required
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to lead small teams and manage work independently
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong technical skills in framing, finish work, and cabinetry
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Good time management and organization
- Must be a motivated, self-directed team player with professional demeanor
- Own hand tools and valid driver's license preferred
