Description

The Electromechanical Test Technician is responsible for performing a variety of technical duties to ensure the quality and functionality of electronic and electromechanical products. This includes conducting detailed production tests, troubleshooting failures, assisting with product assembly, and coordinating with the shipping and receiving departments to manage the flow of materials.

Essential Duties

  • Production testing: Perform functional and performance tests on electronic and electromechanical assemblies and finished products using various test equipment, such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve electromechanical issues down to the component level by interpreting technical documents like schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
  • Shipping and receiving coordination:
  • Receiving: Inspect incoming components and raw materials for damage and verify accuracy against purchase orders.
  • Shipping: Prepare and package finished goods for shipment, ensuring proper documentation and labeling.
  • Quality assurance: Document test results, failure descriptions, and root cause analyses. Report on findings to the engineering and production teams to support continuous improvement efforts.
  • Equipment maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and calibration on test equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Assembly support: Assist with the assembly of electronic and mechanical systems as needed to support production schedules.
  • Safety and compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and quality standards, including ISO and GMP regulations where applicable.

Essential Requirements

  • Proficiency with common electronics test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes) and hand tools.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and other technical drawings.
  • Experience with electronics assembly and soldering techniques.
  • Knowledge of standard shipping and receiving procedures and inventory management systems.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; vocational training or an Associate's degree in a related technical field is preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in product testing, troubleshooting, or manufacturing.
