The full hiring range for this role is $20.76 - $27.40, hourly. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on the job-related knowledge, skills, credentials, and experience of each candidate as well as other factors such as the scope and location of the role. The individual in this role will have the opportunity to provide support and coordination to department and office.
What are the responsibilities and opportunities of this role?
- Supports all aspects of mailroom operations, including both incoming and outgoing processes, ensuring consistent service and coverage during absences or high-volume periods
- Operates and maintains mailroom equipment, ensuring reliability and efficiency in daily operations
- Oversees the accurate and timely processing, distribution, and delivery of mail and packages across departments
- Coordinates with postal and courier vendors to ensure effective handling of incoming and outgoing shipments
- Monitors and replenishes mailroom and office supply inventories to maintain smooth operations
- Assists Facilities with general office support, including pantry restocking and light logistics as needed
- Contributes to continuous improvement by identifying efficiencies and supporting updates to mailroom procedures
- Provides training support and serve as a knowledgeable resource for new or temporary mailroom staff
- Performs other administrative or operational duties as assigned by the Building Operations Manager
- Applies knowledge to help solve problems of relatively limited scope and complexity
- Coordinates with other internal departments and team members
- Communicates with USPS, courier, presort, & print vendors
- Performs special projects and other duties as assigned
What are the must-have qualifications for a candidate?
- Valid and unrestricted driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Demonstrated ability to pay attention to details
- Good communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service
- Ability to follow process
- Time management/ability to meet deadlines
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Proficient use of various core systems, office and computer equipment and software packages
