Description

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee clinical functions in relation to Workers’ Compensation and Auto No-Fault programs.
  • Maintain client clinical relationships including regularly scheduled meetings and review.
  • Maintain drug formularies that adhere to state regulations.
  • Provide monthly updates to WC/Auto team regarding changes in regulations, formulary drugs, and injury-specific drug changes.
  • Maintain WC/Auto Rebate Program.
  • Provide review and evaluation of utilization data for areas of improvement for both clinical impact and cost-effectiveness of the pharmacy program for renewals.
  • Analyze monthly claims data and provide client feedback to Client Services/Sales as needed.
  • Ensure appropriate quality controls and initiate opportunities for performance improvement in pharmacy/practice.
  • Advise the Client Services/Sales team on pharmacy drug utilization review (DUR) issues.
  • Serve as Clinical Liaison with the Client Services Implementation team.
  • Participate in the quarterly Pharmacy & Therapeutics Review Committee.
  • Develop and/or implement clinical pharmacy programs in collaboration with client retention initiatives.
  • Coordinate all efforts related Plan/Patient Assistance programs related to client management.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by conducting research and by attending educational and technological workshops.
  • Provide supportive clinical/data information for the Quoting/Analytics division.
  • Generate reporting on performance metrics related to client savings etc.
  • Assist with pharmacy claim audits as needed.
  • Monthly client utilization reviews.
  • Duties as assigned.

Skills And Requirements

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy.
    • Advanced education in pharmacy (Pharm D) a plus
  • Experience:
    • Minimum five years experience in retail or hospital pharmacy
    • Clinical pharmacy experience in managed healthcare preferred.
    • Must have strong customer service orientation and excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with clients, pharmacies and plan members.
    • Proficient PC skills in Windows-based applications.
    • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
    • Ability to be flexible and quickly adapt to the changing needs in the department.
